Terms of Service

The basics of using crawlers.cc. This is a free, best-effort fan tool, not a commercial service; this page is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.

The service

crawlers.cc is provided free and as-is, with no guarantee of uptime, data durability, or fitness for any particular purpose. It is a hobby project run by one person; please keep your own copies of anything you can’t afford to lose.

Acceptable use

Use the tool for running and playing tabletop games, not to abuse the service.
Don’t attempt to break authorization, access other users’ data, or overload the service, including the AI generation endpoints.
Don’t use the tool for anything illegal or to harass others.

Game Master access

Anyone can play for free with no account. Running games (creating campaigns and using AI generation) requires approved GM access: sign in, request access with a short note, and an admin reviews it, usually within 2 days. You’ll be emailed when it’s decided. Approval is at the operator’s discretion and may be revoked; when GM access is revoked, your campaigns become read-only rather than being deleted, so a game in progress can be wound down.

Tips

crawlers.cc is free. Optional tips via Ko-fi help cover hosting and upkeep; they are voluntary, are not a purchase, and buy no feature, priority, or guarantee.

Your content and account

You keep ownership of the characters, campaigns, and notes you create. You can delete your account at any time from your character list; see the Privacy page for exactly what deletion removes and retains.

Unofficial fan project

crawlers.cc is an independent, fan-built tool for the Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by Renegade Game Studios, and you still need the official rulebooks to play.
